Knowing what happens at each stage can make implant treatment feel much less intimidating. Every patient is different, but most treatment follows these steps.
1. Consultation and planning
We review your health history, examine your teeth and gums and take digital scans and 3D images. These show the quality and amount of bone and help us plan exactly where the implant should go.
2. Implant placement
The implant is placed in the jawbone with local anesthesia. We discuss comfort options with you beforehand, and you receive written instructions for the first days at home.
3. Healing
Over the following months the bone grows around the implant and holds it firmly in place. Healing time varies, and we check your progress at follow-up visits.
4. Your final crown
Once the implant is stable, we attach an abutment and your custom crown, matched to the color and shape of your natural teeth.
