When a tooth is lost, you have more than one way to replace it. Each option has strengths, and the best choice depends on your health, your goals and your budget.
Dental implants
An implant replaces the tooth root with a titanium post in the jawbone and is topped with a crown. It does not depend on neighboring teeth and helps preserve the bone. It does require healthy gums, enough bone and a healing period.
Dental bridges
A bridge fills the gap by attaching a replacement tooth to crowns placed on the teeth on either side. It is usually faster than an implant, but the neighboring teeth must be reshaped to hold the bridge.
Dentures
Dentures are removable and can replace several or all teeth at a lower upfront cost. Many patients find that conventional dentures can move while eating or speaking, and they do not stimulate the jawbone the way implants do.
How to decide
The right answer comes from an exam and 3D imaging. Book a consultation and we will walk you through your options, the timeline and a written estimate.
